A state-of-the-art mobile tracking solution delivers much-needed medication to patients door
"My disabled brother couldn't drive. He was very sick and couldn't get around well. He walked to El Rio to see the doctor, but didn't feel well enough to wait for a prescription to be filled after being away from home so long. When free home delivery of prescriptions started it was wonderful! The medications arrived and there was no risk of not getting a refill on time. It was a great help for him."

El Rio is a technology innovator and leader. Your gift can help us with visionary technological initiatives such as:
- Free home delivery of prescriptions for El Rio patients utilizing a state-of-the-art mobile tracking solution. El Rio delivers approximately 365 medication packages per month, for free, with almost all requests delivered within 24 hours, currently with a 100% accuracy rate.
- A pharmacy "robot" that increases accuracy and efficiency for filling prescriptions at El Rio's on-site pharmacy.
- Conversion to electronic medical records, allowing for greater coordination of patient care throughout the El Rio system, improved efficiency of medical staff and elimination of costly and space-inefficient paper files.
- Coordination of electronic health records through a sophisticated interface, enabling four community health center partners, including El Rio, to establish compatibility between the Southern Arizona Integrated Network System and the Southern Arizona Health Information Exchange (SAHIE). While currently in the early stages of development, the long-term goal of SAHIE is to connect the local medical data repositories with state, regional, and national information systems.
Be a part of the future through your gifts for technology and help build a solid infrastructure for El Rio patients for many generations to come.
