Give the Gift of Caring for the Homeless

$250 - Give the gift of compassion by underwriting El Rio's services for one uninsured, homeless patient. Typical services provided in a visit include lab, radiology and prescriptions.

$500 - Provide a hot meal for 200 homeless people at El Rio's Annual Homeless Awareness Week Fiesta held in November.

There are thousands of homeless individuals in Tucson on any given day. Gifts of compassion help El Rio provide medical services for the homeless. In addition to primary health care and assessments, El Rio providers also address the non-medical needs of homeless patients by coordinating referrals to community services for help with employment, food shelter, housing, and mental health-substance abuse services.
